Since the 1960's laminar flow, as designed by the late Sir John Charnley, has been well accepted as an adjunct to antibiotic therapy in the prevention of deep wound infection following joint arthroplasty.

Over the last 25 years Bio Air Systems has installed over 100 units in over 70 of the leading orthopedic hospitals in the United States. The group of candidates for joint arthroplasty is growing rapidly, both primary and revision, and, with this reality, the threat of deep wound sepsis becomes more apparent.

Bio Air Systems is prepared to meet this challenge with their latest product-Bio Flo. This newly designed clean air system eliminates bacteria carrying particles and thereby eliminating the vehicle by which bacteria could infect the wound site.
